Leila oversees marketing communications and engagement with LRNG’s diverse ecosystem including corporations and policymakers. Before joining LRNG, Leila served as VP of Marketing and Partnerships at Sama Group, where she oversaw marketing communications, partnerships and fundraising. Previously, Leila spent over 14 years leading brand and marketing strategy and programs at Microsoft and Adobe. Leila’s passion for social causes is rooted in her life experience as a teenage Bosnian war refugee. Leila taught English and art in the Nagyatad Refugee Camp, and later founded the first student chapters of UNHCR and UNIFEM at Wellesley College. She serves on UNHCR’s Livelihoods Advisory Board. Leila majored in Peace & Justice Studies and Media Arts & Sciences (MAS) at Wellesley, with coursework completed at the MIT Media Lab and Microsoft’s Marketing Leadership program at the Kellogg School of Management.
