Bio

Brennan DeFrisco is a poet, teaching artist, editor & grant writer from the San Francisco Bay Area. He’s been a National Poetry Slam finalist, a Pushcart Prize nominee, runner-up for the Drake University Emerging Writer Award, & 2017 champion of the Oakland Poetry Slam. He facilitates creative writing and performance workshops as a teaching artist with California Poets in the Schools, empowering young artists’ voices.

He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University Los Angeles. His work has been published in Words Dance, jmww journal, Drunk in a Midnight Choir, Collective Unrest, & elsewhere. Follow his work at www.brennandefrisco.com.
