Jeff’s career encompasses strategy, finance, marketing and operations on six continents. He has been integral to eight startups. Jeff is experienced in agribusiness/food products, B2B services, consumer products and services, financial services, entertainment, hardware, internet/media/new media, software and intellectual property. He founded Comstock Investors LLC in 1992. Comstock advises growth companies by developing proprietary strategies using wargaming to reduce risk, raising capital and providing client introductions at the C-suite level. Previously, Jeff was a co-founder of Anthem Partners LP: NY/LA, a $500 million merchant bank partnered with Sanwa Bank. Before that, Jeff founded and managed the Transactions Development Group at Drexel Burnham: LA. He was previously an MD in Corporate Finance/M&A at Lehman Brothers: NYC. Jeff initiated the first JV between the People’s Republic of China and a Fortune 100 company: Campbell’s Soup, ran the first IPO of an LBO: Gibson Greeting Cards, and led the largest public equity offering as of that date: Occidental Petroleum. He has sponsored a Masai village in the Masai Mora in Kenya, served on the Boards of the Cite du Vin: Bordeaux, the Joffrey Ballet: NY/LA and the Harvard Business School Alumni Board: Boston, assisted in editing the initial version of A Random Walk Down Wall Street (Burt Malkiel), now in its twelfth edition.
